Elings Fellowship Application

The California Nanosystems Institute (CNSI) now offers the Elings Prize Fellowships for research in nanoscience, covering all areas of the physical sciences, biology, and engineering. These prize postdoctoral fellowships provide a salary of $60,000/yr for two years, renewable for a third, along with benefits and research funds. Successful applicants will work with CNSI faculty; applicants should indicate the group(s) with which they would prefer to work. Applicants holding or expecting to hold, a PhD in science or engineering are encouraged to apply for these fellowships; the deadline for applying is Jan 31.

You will be asked to submit:

  • A cover letter, cirriculum vitae, one page research proposal (in PDF format).
  • the names and email addresses of three references.

Note: References will only be accepted upon request.

Research Groups

Applicants should indicate in their cover letter the groups they would be interested in working with; contact with potential advisors is strongly encouraged. An alphabetical list can be found on the CNSI Faculty page. Collaborative research projects are highly supported.

Interviews for the fellowships will be by invitation only; invitations will begin to be sent in January.
